Forestry Mulching
Brush and small trees ground into mulch where they stand: one machine, no burn piles, no trucks, and a protective layer left on the soil.
Overview
Forestry mulching uses a single track machine with a rotating drum of carbide teeth to grind brush and small trees into mulch right where they stand. There are no piles to burn, no loads to haul, and far less ground disturbance than pushing trees over with a dozer.
The mulch layer it leaves does real work: it shields bare soil from rain, slows erosion on slopes and creek banks, and breaks down over time. Mulching is our default for brush, privet and cedar on acreage and fence lines. For building pads, where you need bare ground with the roots out, we'll recommend clearing with haul-off instead.

Common questions
What size trees can forestry mulching handle?
Most brush and trees up to roughly six to eight inches across. Larger trees are cut and handled separately.
Does the mulch need to be removed?
No. It's left as ground cover and breaks down over time. If you plan to plant or build, we'll discuss whether some should go.
Is mulching better than clearing with a dozer?
For brush and small trees, usually: less soil disturbance, no burning or hauling, and better erosion protection. For building pads, clearing with haul-off is often the better fit.
Will it kill invasive brush for good?
Mulching removes it at ground level, but some species resprout. Follow-up cuts keep regrowth down.
