Patio Cover Construction
Solid-roof patio covers that add usable outdoor space through summer and rain, tied into your house properly so the joint never leaks.
Overview
A patio cover is the difference between a patio you use in July and one you look at through the window. A solid roof blocks the sun outright, keeps rain off furniture and outdoor kitchens, and can carry fans and lights.
The critical joint is where the cover meets your house. We attach to the wall framing, not just the siding or brick, and flash the connection so water runs off rather than into your wall. Roofs can be standing-seam metal, shingles to match the house, or insulated panels.

Common questions
Can a patio cover tie into my existing roof?
Yes, either below the eave on a ledger or tied into the roofline. Tying in costs more but looks more built-in.
Will it make my house darker inside?
A solid cover shades the windows behind it. We can add skylight panels if you want to keep light in.
Do patio covers need permits?
Almost always, and some need engineered drawings. We handle both.
Metal or shingle?
Metal sheds rain and heat well and suits low slopes. Shingles match your house but need more pitch.
