Gate Repair
Sagging, dragging and won't-latch gates fixed at the cause (the post, the frame or the hinge) instead of just moving the latch.
Overview
A gate that drags or won't latch is telling you where it failed. If the latch side has dropped but the frame is still square, the hinge post has leaned or the hinges have pulled loose. If the gate itself has gone out of square, the frame has racked. We find which it is before fixing anything.
Fixes range from resetting a hinge post in concrete, to an anti-sag cable and turnbuckle, to rebuilding the gate on a steel frame. For automatic gates we also repair operators, safety devices and access hardware.

Common questions
Is it worth repairing an old gate?
If the frame is sound, usually yes. If the wood frame has rotted or racked badly, rebuilding on a steel frame costs little more than repeated repairs.
Why does my gate drag after rain?
Often the hinge post is moving in wet clay. Resetting it deeper in concrete, or replacing it with steel, usually fixes it for good.
Do you repair automatic gate openers?
Yes. We repair and service most common swing and slide operators, including safety devices.
Can you fix a gate on the first visit?
Simple hardware repairs often can be done on the first visit. Post and frame work is scheduled after the estimate.
